The Minnesota Lightning came up short against the Atlanta Silverbacks in the Central Conference Championship Saturday night. The Silverbacks scored four of their goals in the first 30 minutes of the game. The Lightning couldn't come back from the five goal deficit, and their season ended.
The Lightning played a hard game the night before, going into overtime with the Richmond Kickers Destiny. With no more than 24 hours to recover, it seemed the Lightning was a bit worn out from 120 minutes of play from the night before.
