IronKids Boulder 2010

Boulder, CO. (August 7, 2010) With an entry list that includes great names like Lessing, Legh and Alexander, there is always the expectation of great competition. But today, was for the kids!

Nearly 500 children ranging in age from 3 to 15 competed in the inaugural IronKids Boulder Triathlon, part of the Rohto Ironman 70.3 Boulder race weekend. The event, which took place at the Boulder Reservoir, included six divisions: Ages 3-5, Ages 6-8, Ages 9-11, Ages 12-15, Military and Teams. The 3-5 year old age division is exclusive to IronKids Boulder and provided a non-competitive and untimed race experience for the younger kids. The IronKids National Triathlon Series, with a mission to motivate youth through sport to live an active, positive and healthy lifestyle, is hosting 12 events in 2010 in locations such as San Diego, Calif., Round Rock, Texas, and Alpharetta, Ga.
