2009 Ironman Wisconsin

Sunny skies, light winds and hot competitiion was the order of the day for the eigth annual Wisconsin Ironman. At one time on the 2nd lap of the bike course the top six men were all within sight. The marathon certainly tested the mettle of each of the competitors, pros and age group alike. Raynard Tissink of South Africa took top honors for the men in 8:45 and Amy Marsh of Austin Texas, was the top woman at 9:43. 50 year old Jan Guenther, was the top female age group athlete finishing 8th overall in 10:28!
