KSwiss Ironman Kanasas 70.3 2010

Lawrence, KS. (JUne 6, 2010) Chris Lieto held off Andy Potts for a narrow 24-second course-record win at K-Swiss Ironman 70.3 Kansas, while Chrissie Wellington showed she's back on her game with an impressive win by almost 18 minutes in the women's race.

Lieto's bike 2:05:30 bike split managed to put him more than four minutes up on swim leader Potts. He followed that up with a solid 1:11:43 half marathon, which was enough to hold off Potts.

Wellington's 4:07:49 time not only put her well ahead of the rest of the women in the race, it placed her 11th overall in the race. Pip Taylor led out of the water, but once the bike started it was Wellington all the way she rode eight minutes faster than Taylor. Wellington's 1:15:12 half marathon split was also the 11th fastest of the day.

We were pleased to be a part of the Blazeman Benefit Dinner with Chrissie Wellington. All process from sales of prints from the dinner will be contributed to the Blazeman Foundation.
